Sloan Museum
Explore Flint’s premiere destination for regional history and science education, located at 1221 E. Kearsley St. Flint, MI 48503. Thanks to grants from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and the Ruth Mott Foundation, general admission to Sloan Museum is free to all until December 9, 2018. Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 12 noon-5pm. Great for sightseers, families, field trips, and community events.
Regional history, historic automobiles and hands-on science are major features of the Sloan Museum. Dramatic settings, video programs and hundreds of artifacts and photographs portray the area’s tumultuous 20th century history in the Flint and the American Dream exhibit. Traveling exhibits fill the Temporary Gallery with a variety of educational and entertaining displays year-round. The Buick Automotive Gallery presents major automotive exhibits featuring vehicles from the Sloan fleet of over 100 Flint-built carriages and automobiles.
Effective August 8, 2018: Due to the passing of the Arts Millage, Genesee County Residents will receive free general admission to Sloan Museum. Please present driver’s license or ID with your address on it to receive your discount.

During the “RACE: Are We So Different?” exhibit run, admission to Sloan Museum in the Flint Cultural Center will be free every day of the week, thanks to the support of our partners, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and the Ruth Mott Foundation.
